Personal LOA

Hey guys so in July I’m going out of the country with my family for vacation. I just got hired in November and was offered a permanent job a week ago. How is the LOA process like for a personal LOA? I’m aiming to go for about 45 days LOA. Is it true for a personal loa all you do is ask HR and they either say yes or no and if they say yes you just put in a time request and they approve it? It’s not like a medical LOA where there is a bunch of paperwork and approvals and can be a long process but a personal loa can be quick and easy for you and the HR does all the work? Is this LOA likely to be approved? It’s gonna be for me like June 1st to July 14th.
