Is Red Dead Redemption worth playing on Switch?

I've been looking into getting another game for my Switch after it sitting idle for a few months following completing Tears of the Kingdom. I took a chance and have bought Red Dead Redemption on Amazon. Is it a good game or is my buyers remorse justified?
