Reccomended games christmas 2024?

Hey all, I have a switch and admittedly have not gamed alot on it and mainly only used YouTube for it since switch games are overpriced as hell, refraining me from purchasing switch titles physically and being able to play my Switch because of it, and since the switch 2 is likely coming out next year, it feels like I've wasted my 3 years with it and really wanna jump back in.

I'm looking to get back into the Mario franchise and am unsure of what good switch games are really worth my time. Currently, I have mainly played Pokemon Shield which is the only Nintendo exclusive and other games thsr i bought and played on the console are crossplay. I'm wanting to play more Nintendo exclusives.

Are there any good switch games that has both amazing single-player and multiplayer experiences and the multiplayer isn't to sweaty.

My eyes are currently on Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3d World/Bowser's fury, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 3, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Luigi's Mansion 2 or 3. And as I said, is the.multiplayer too sweaty or hard to get into?

I have a limited budget and only looking for 2 games to purchase. Any other recommended games I'm open to!
