Good waterproof headphones?

I got the Onn waterproof headphones (with the waterproof rating that implied they can be listened to underwater). They work 1/2 way, I feel like. On land they do meh, and if you’re all the way underwater, they’re fantastic. But for swimming (especially breaststroke!!) they cut off and on each time your head goes in and out do the water. It’s infuriating!! Am I wearing them wrong? Are there better ones that exist that can actually be used during lap exercises? TIA!
