Is putting your bong in the fridge during summer a good idea?

Whenever I get home from work my bong is always a little hot because it’s outside and I don’t have AC, so I have to change the water and pour cold water over it because I don’t want to smoke a hot bong. Then I had the totally genius idea of putting it in the fridge while I’m gone. Haven’t done it yet but has anyone else tried it?
