2000 mile roadtrip thoughts.

Hello everyone! About 3 weeks ago I took a 1000 mile (each way) road trip to Minnesota. I’ve owned the car for over and year and became even more impressed with how it does on long trips.

For more context it was me and 2 over full sized adults. The hatch was stuffed full of everything we needed. (2019 GT1 AWD)

On the way up I was fighting pretty bad winds. As a result my MPG suffered pretty bad and I was only able to get about 28.5MPG. (Also the wind noise was very bad)

On the way back however I’m pleased to say I was averaging 32.8 MPG! It wasn’t necessarily down hill but I was able to coast for minutes at a time, only had to fill up the car twice on that way back.

As a roadtrip car I think it covers almost every base I like! Just wish I had the GT2 for those rear heated seats lol. I’m curious what people on this sub get for highway driving. I was shocked I could even get over 31MPG.

(Other random notes) one thing I found sort of interesting was the range estimate seems hesitant to even consider telling you 400 miles of range. It would stick itself in the 370-380 range. That could be to how I drive the rest of the time but I doubt that as i average 20mpg in the city. Also the steering assist starting thinking I wasn’t touching the wheel by the time I went into Chicago. Little input would have it bark at me even though I was holding it.
