At what point did you start decorating?

I’m so impressed by people’s photos of their farms with paths and fences and organized areas of crops and trees. At what point in the game do you get to that point? I’m almost to the end of year 1 and my farm is a bit of a mess and I honestly don’t think I’d even thought of putting walkways in if I wasn’t a member of this sub Reddit haha
