what is the lore now?

i started playing sso in January of 2013 and quit in 2018/late 2017 i basically slowly stopped logging on as i didn’t like the direction the game was going in & felt like the game was turning into a cash grab

i recently re-download the game and have started playing through the main story quests again from what I’ve seen the lore & characters have completely changed i quiet literally did not recognise any of the soul riders especially lisa Lisa used to be some punk rockstar thats now a country signer? alex was the only one that i felt like was like her original self

the darker riders are more confusing then then the soul riders the only one i can slightly recognise is katja who would have thought that sabina a bratty little dressage rider would have been a big and bulk girl with long floating hair who is jay ment to be? and the girl with the hobby horse? ive never been so confused in my life these are not the dark riders i knew & played the main story quests with

the horses aswell are so confusing concord is now a foal? when did this happen and why is he a foal? i recognise the other 3 horses

the order of all the quests for me is completely messed up & im not sure if thats because i haven’t touched my account for so long

from what i can remember we where a girl that went to moorland for summer camp and ended up reuniting with the 3 soul riders to fight against the dark riders & we where the chosen girl ( something along those lines my memory from 11 years ago is quiet fuzzy )

is starshine legacy even cannon anymore?
