What were your highlights of the first week of 2025 in wrestling?

The world is a hellscape and there's negativity aplenty floating around for a whole host of reasons, so hey, we're now one week into the world of wrestling in 2025, so what fucking ruled so far?

Personally I'd like to shout out:

• The high streaming quality debut of AEW on Max, which as a non-cable subscriber is a game-changer for me
• The endless meme potential of COPE
• The glorious pro wrestling return of Kenny "Bi God" Omega in an early MOTY candidate
• Two fantastic Takeshita matches back to back nights
• Multiple great women's matches in the Tokyo Dome, which should always be celebrated
• Bronson Reed being straight fire on social media
• And my personal surprise favorite, watching Noah for the first time in as long as I can remember and Ozawa immediately having that "oh this dude fucking rules" aura the moment he came out for his title match. Anyone who likes Japanese wrestling and didn't watch Noah's New Year show, I highly recommend it. And I mean, at least do it for Omos
