“Just get gud lol”

I’ve been a silent and very subtly active member of this community for some time now- I’ve been playing Budokai Tenkaichi since before Tenkaichi came out and you just had Budokai.

It is both natural and a testament of good product and marketing that you can bring what once was a niche product to a larger and wider audience, allowing newcomers to join the ride too. That’s good business, honestly..

However- I’ve noticed that the community has become oversaturated. Not just with toxic trolls but “newbs” [for lack of better term] in every sense of the word. Newbs who likely were just following the hype they saw blow up from the main core fanbase, or wanted to get it cuz their favorite streamer got it, or whatever reason that isn’t rooted in their own volition.

This is a problem for me, because I feel that if there’s more of them than main core fans [maybe even just core fans of competitive fighting games] then who’s voices are heard first and foremost by devs? The latter. And more and more I find the complaints being made to them are either asinine, facile, or not very just at all.

By the second update, I felt the devs practically took away all they should. I can even understand the sweep loop getting negged too…but super counters? Really? You people were complaining that everyone was countering you too much? That is LITERALLY a skill issue.
