Songwriting is truly like therapy, how has it saved/changed your life?

I’ve struggled a lot mentally for most of my life. Music has always been a part of my free time, from piano lessons to creating my own songs. This past year, I’ve had an especially tough time (particularly in the last few months), and songwriting has probably saved me countless times. I tend to experience very dysregulated moods, so I often have a lot of emotions to release. Writing lyrics and creating little songs has been my therapy—my way of processing and letting it all out.

Now, I’d love to know: how has songwriting changed or saved your life?
