Time to infect entire US

So given that skye kills herself in front of a packed arena at “herald square garden” (Madison square garden) with a concert capacity of 20,000, and assuming they all watched. How long would it take the entity to completely consume the population of the US? I got just over 7 years, but I also have the basic math skills of a 2nd grader. Help me.
