Quick question

Can the entity physically harm you? In 1 the therapist grabs the main character's face, and in 2 the group of fans bash Skye's head into the piano and rip out her hair.

Skye sees the entity/ others doing this to her, but in reality is the entity just making her do it to herself? Is it just a case of the entity getting so far into her head that its altering what she experiences?

If the entity really can physically harm you, I wonder why it doesn't do it more often?
