Non US popular phones?

What are some alternatives to the popular US phone brands(Samsung, Apple, Google, etc.) ? I prefer one that would have a great camera, I am able to download some android apps onto, great quality, and can use a "universal" charger. I'm aware that Samsung isn't American made, but it is popular in America.
