[acne] Which led face mask?
Sorry for the jump scare of my skin. Believe it or not I had perfectly clear skin 6 months ago!! The perfect storm of weird acupuncture herbs and getting oral surgery annihilated my poor skin.
I am left with all this PIE and hyperpigmentation. I have a few active spots that seem to have dwindled and have been moving on their way out. Though still getting a couple new ones (hopefully not for much longer). I am hoping to reduce scarring while this is still fresh.
I went to the derm and they said they couldn’t do anything for me (cosmetic wise like chemical peels or laser) just to come back for microneedling once there’s no active acne.
I am debating between omnilux clear OR a regular red light therapy mask. Like the contour or another brand.
Pros of the clear: blue light to help active acne. Question: Does blue light help with hyperpigmentation and scarring or just active acne?
Cons of the clear: Can only be used for 6 weeks and then occasionally after that.
If I am going to invest ideally I would like to get most bang for my buck. I like that the plain red can be used more continuously and may be able to evolve with me as my skin needs change.
Do I get a red light therapy mask and a spot treatment wand of blue light and just use them on the remainder active acne? Or is the clear for the best for my skin now and will show the greatest improvement and I should bite the bullet
