Uninstalled all DLC- It was starting to feel cluttered

I purged my sims game. All DLC has been uninstalled so only the base game remains. I cleaned up my gallery and only kept sims and builds I’m proud of. I even deleted all my saves.

I was starting to feel like the game was becoming too cluttered. There was so much to do, so many items to choose from, it was a little overwhelming. So I took it back to basics.

My plan is to fully explore each pack one at a time and then determine what I want to keep and what I want to keep uninstalled.

Up until this point, I felt like I needed to own every DLC to make my game complete, but that’s not the case. What really makes the sims 4 magical is the ability to create stories, and you don’t need every DLC to make that happen.

I realize this is a very privileged thing to say. My point with this post is to show that having every DLC isn’t going to make your game perfect. In fact you will probably financially regret it.

I feel like the community (specifically YouTube) has normalized dropping thousands on this game.

I would love to hear from others that have done this and what their experience was like.
