Is this weird?

Hey! So I normally don't accept deposits because I've been banned from most apps except Apple pay. I had a client hmu tonight and we discussed scheduling which I told him I required a deposit to schedule and he sent the whole hourly rate...he is new he says but is this weird? Lol I've never done deposits before so I'm kind of new to it too
