What makes a woman a keeper?
Saw this question about guys in this Reddit but let’s switch it because we’re not living in 1960 anymore.
I’m in a happy healthy relationship but it took me 34 years. A lot of modern women asking huge stuff yet giving back so little. I had a super connection with my grandparents and I can conclude from that, that my grandmother asked less from my granddad and gave more the he asked for. Same counts for him: he gave more then she could’ve ever asked for.
They’re 94 and 96 (when my granddad died) and 70 years together. I forgot how long the marriage was but it was longer than 60 years as I can remember a big family reunion to celebrate it. They have 5 children.
Nowadays it seems the other way round. Modern (I don’t need a man, and can do it all myself type) women asking more from men than their own grandmothers asked their grandfathers and giving less then what their grandmothers ever gave their grandfathers. So there is clearly some shift.
So the question that I want to read your opinion on: what makes a woman a keeper?
