Rucker 4.0 vs $30 Amazon pack...help!
BLUF: is the Rucker 4.0 20L $200 better than a $30 Amazon knock off?
I recently started rucking and love it. Bought 3 10# yes4all plates and a Goruck Plate Carrier (RPC) because I'm typically only doing 3.5 mile loops in my hilly neighborhood But...the RPC just isn't comfortable. I like how the weight sits up and high and close to the body, but that's all I like about it. I'll return it this week.
I also bought this $30 pack from Amazon because of the reviews and the price. The plates fit fine and the bag is...ok? I like all of the features, including the hip belt and web pockets on either side. The comfort level is definitely better than the RPC.
But I keep wondering if the Rucker 4.0 20L would be better and more comfortable to the point of justifying the extra cost. I think the plates would sit higher than the Amazon bag, which seems like a plus, but the Rucker has fewer bells and whistles.
Context: 6'0", 200# male, primarily doing 3.5 mile rucks in my 'hood with 20-30 pounds.
