Fated Mates who spend the bulk of the book having to learn to live with each other

So, I've always been a sucker for Fated Mates, but so often the characters don't actually get together until the end (Kresley Cole and Nalini Singh). I'm looking for something where they're forced together early on in the book and spend the bulk of it butting heads, miscommunicating, and learning to live together, while falling in love. Examples of this would be basically all of Kristen Ashley's paranormal stuff.

Few triggers, but monogamous m/f and mostly human appearance (shifters, vampires, aliens that just have otherwordly sized penises), please.
