Veila the Dark Spirit Hunter

Finally made a protagonist/good guy!

Veila’s father was a horrible man. He had the ability to conjure harmful spirits which he used to inflict pain of the world for his own satisfaction. Her father was a twisted psychopath. After he died however, all the blame and disaster he caused was inflicted upon Veila at just the age of 8 years old. Veila knew she needed to set things right so she ends up becoming a spirit hunter set out to kill all of the strong demons and spirits her father conjured in an attempt to clear her name.

Veila is very serious but not absent hearted, she cares for the people she makes connections with and values them, but if you ask the people around her they would answer the opposite due to her constant serious mental state.

Veila uses a holy book in order to exorcise the spirits conjured by her father, when things get more serious she uses a cursed blade made to damage virtually indestructible spirits like ghosts, where usually a normal blade would pass right through them. Using her holy text she can also summon basic spells like fireballs, beams of light (basically just a burning laser) and other smaller less significant spells (like the ability to create a slice of cake from thin air.)

Veila has made contact with witches such like Rosetta and even interacted with Sanguine the High Cultist of Gluttony. She failed to kill both of them but holds a special place in her hit list despite not being forged by her father. Veila is also one of the only people able to reverse the effects of the Rosen curse and has the ability to purify and heal those talen over by it.
