I had a lot of fun this week styling outfits I've never worn before. A couple months ago, I was in a solid colors/neutral mood and was leaning into more simpler outfits but lately I've been craving bolder colors and pattern mixing. I love it because it's leading to really fun outfit ideas that actually work when I try them on. I feel like I'm pushing myself out of my comfort zone and really enjoying the experience of wearing my clothes. It makes grocery shopping so much for fun!

Slide 1: We got our first big snow storm in years. This outfit was my first venture out once the roads were safe to drive on. I love wearing snow boots lol. They're warm and toasty and the insoles are so bouncy and squishy (awful descriptors 😅) which makes it so fun to walk around. I've been wanting to try on this zebra print top with the purple jacket because IMO, they were made to be worn together. I have a pair of zebra pants that would be so obnoxiously good (or really bad lol) with this pairing but I'll save that for another day. I really loved how this outfit turned out. The extra room in the shoulder area of the jacket accommodated the puffy sleeves perfectly. Nothing was pulling or felt bunchy so I felt really good. The neon pink fanny pack tucked under my jacket and the red beanie were mostly chosen for function but I really liked the colors together.

Slide 2: I love the vertical stripes and shape of these pants. These are one of my go-to items when I don't know what to wear. I love the color of this cardigan but wearing it the normal way feels a little boring to me so I wore it backwards and like it so much more! The black sweater has a rip in it so it's been in my "fix one day" pile but I decided I like the "cutout" when worn with a contrasting color. It looks sort of intentional so it's back in my closet now.

Slide 3: My latest styling session and what I'm wearing today. I changed one thing in every iteration until I landed on the last photo (bottom right). I feel a little crazy because of my color and pattern choices here but to me, it all makes sense and looks good. 🤣 The first 3 iterations fell flat for me for different reasons but when I switched my shoes and chose a darker purple belt to tie them together, it all came together. The gray/pink striped socks happened to be what I was wearing but when I saw how the pink stripes played with the pink beanie, I was weirdly into it 😆
