Situation in South Korea. Hope?

This morning I came across a news report about a 4 week doctor's walk out going on in South Korea with the gov revoking licenses and threatening legal action. Apparently now there are professors threatening to resign from different medical schools starting on March 25th. I am on the other side of the World, in Latin America, but can I get my hopes up over this? Reading about it it is clear that the situation in SK was simply not sustainable any longer, but is this a symptom of a slow culture change in medicine or just wishful thinking on my part?

Would love if someone who is more intimately related to the situation over there could share more info on the issue, I can only understand what is translated to English after all.
