Am I [23F] overthinking about my partner [24M] not telling his family about me ?

Both of us are Indian. I think in this context I should mention that he is from Meerut. Both of us have been in a relationship since college (almost 2yrs now) and he has been going out of his way to hide the fact that he has a girlfriend from his family. I’m not sure what to read out of it. If asked, he has always said he will tell his parents after his Masters (we are both BTech graduates and working currently, he is planning on doing masters next year). So 2-3 years down the lane, he will tell his parents. Now, I’m not exactly from a progressive family myself. My dad doesn’t know that I’m in a relationship but my mom does. But both of them knows that he exists ( my dad know he is my good friend ). But his family doesn’t know about my existence. Though he has continuously assured me that he will tell his parents after few years down the line, I can’t stop thinking that maybe he will push until his parents ask him if he is dating somebody and then only he will say. Am i overthinking ? Or what are your thoughts ?
