RWC - good for singles?

Just moved to the Bay from SoCal. Currently renting in Santa Clara but lease ending soon. Has anyone had experience living in RWC as a single person? Is there any nightlife/ things to do? Or more of a city for families? Please share experience. Me: 32/M for an idea of age range haha!
