Homosexuality didn't kill Rome, rich people did.

I've heard idiot religious fanatics say over and over that homosexuality killed Rome. It didn't! Rome was gay from day one, and it lasted 400 years.

Rome was killed by the rich and powerful. They used the legal system to seize all property from the poor in Rome's last days. Land, housing, money. Then they refused to get their hands dirty and do the jobs. Like in the 1920s, the working class was abandoned. And the managing class couldn't do anything for themselves. What rich person do you know who'll walk around in piss to clean clothes? What rich person do you know who'll run a laundromat? The last days of Rome were fraught with corrupt politicians and lazy rich people. They used the legal system to give themselves increasing power and killed anyone who got in their way. All the land belonged to the wealthy.

This eventually gave rise to the Roman empire and then to feudalism after the collapse of Rome.

We've seen this time and time again. From Rome to the Great Depression, once the working class collapses, society usually goes with it.
