Why is traveling still so popular?
I remember admins, older techs, managers, and other healthcare workers all talking about how traveling is just going to be a fad for a bit during covid, and will level off after a year or two. Spoiler alert: It hasn’t. If anything the staffing has gotten worse imo. At least from personal observation seeing things like healthcare workers going on strike in different areas of the country, and travel positions still being held open while begging people to come onto night shift or other undesirable shifts. (I live near DC, so I’m kind of biased in my traveler job outlook).
What do you think is the future of healthcare employment? The market hasn’t exactly “tapered off” despite the lower pay. It’s still much more than what most people make. And yet management still seems to scratch their heads wondering why they can’t keep techs.
