Preply proved to be a scam again
When you book a half-hour trial class, Preply sets the price slightly higher than half of the full price. For example, if 50 minutes cost $20, you will pay $12 for a 25-minute session.
When you actually take the trial class and request a refund (because you didn’t like the tutor and they won’t receive the payment anyway), it shows that you only paid $10 for the half-hour session. In reality, you were charged $12. Essentially, Preply keeps the difference and refuses to acknowledge it.
