Debunking the Rebunk

  1. It is an antifeat considering that Yuji is not good at convergence meaning he can’t compress the blood that much which would result in a overall less impressive Piercing Blood. “It can easily exceed Mach 1” is LITERALLY something I mentioned in the post but trying to quantify exactly where is pointless since we simply do not know, so we go with the most reasonable interpretation, that being simply Mach 1. “Mach 30, 50, 60” are all guestimations and have no basis in the story. The only concrete thing we have is Mach 1 since the only concrete statement is that it exceeds the speed of sound. It’s like putting an attack thats stated to move faster then light at MFTL++ because “well uh idk man it said faster then light so it could be any x faster then light meaning im going to go w the highball for no reason” case in point we have literally no way of knowing how fast someone like Sukuna’s PB is and trying to estimate is impossible.

You also missed here that Piercing Blood only exceeds the speed of sound when reinforced with CE. This heavily implies that without amping it with CE PB cannot normally exceed the speed of sound, making Mach 1 definitely the most reasonable interpretation.

Being leg locked does not stop your ability to move your head out of the way, which Sukuna actually attempted to do but failed.

  1. Kashimo is literally stated to use Sound Waves and EM Waves. The way this is differentiated is that EM Waves don’t produce noise and that Sound Waves.. obviously do. Sukuna noting the attack as “loud” is an obvious indicator that this was a Sound Wave. There’s also a big ass “BOOM” SFX coming from his mouth. This is NOT an EM wave

Lol Meguna was not off guarded here, you’re arguing he’s a lightning timer and above in reaction speed which means in this case the Sound Wave should be getting statued by him. Considering he has no problem supposedly dodging an EM Wave and was clearly suprised by the attack he still dodges it but he’s apparently off guarded here and still can’t dodge a Sound Wave? Your conclusion here does not work with what the story is showing us.

Yuji literally stated everytime he dodged Piercing Blood it was a guess and that he was getting lucky. He doesn’t scale to the PB speed wise in any meaningful way whatsoever. He literally said it was too fast for him

  1. He’s reacting to the sparks of the attack and moving before the attack hit him. It’s simply difficult to fully illustrate this because it’s manga. Also the “slowed down reaction time” here seems to be extremely inconsistent and only there when you want it to be there, he’s off guarded when he gets hit by a sound wave but also off guarded when he supposedly reacts straight up to an EM Wave? This is also just a blatant outlier with him getting tagged by slower shit later on.

  2. A nuke vaporizes everything inside the fireball at the center of the blast. Everything inside of this fireball vaporizes, which would include debris. Kashimo’s supposed EM Wave was launched directly at the ground and seemingly vaporized literally nothing lmao and also produces sound with the attack

  3. I’ll admit the talking point is a bit of a reach however this is for another reason as I forgot that Sorcerers can actually condense their chants in a very short timeframe, as Gojo did it and would make since for Sukuna to be able to do this as well since he’s a better Sorcerer then Gojo. This means they can make chants at far higher speeds than their physical speeds though and still scales Sukuna no where speed wise it just means he can chant very quickly lol (also an outlier)

  4. For the rebunk of Hakari:

  5. The lightning is meant to be for his arm. The return strokes part of the other post helps to explain this while the other reason it’s simply difficult to show it going towards his arm and Gege wrote a weirdly angeled panel. I believe the anime will do a better job at showcasing this. Also Kashimo doesn’t even make it a point to explicitly aim for his head until a couple chapters later.

  6. No it’s just not going towards his face at all. He doesn’t move whatsoever besides his body jolting in response to his arm being flung off. Kashimo had the charge placed on his shoulder so it simply went for his shoulder. That combined with when it’s shown later on that he is explicitly unable to “react” to Kashimo’s lightning in anyway a couple chapters later.

  7. The argument is not that he didn’t dodge it later, I’m well aware Kashimo’s lightning can’t be dodged, the point is that he cannot consistently “react” to it in a similar way as he apparently previously did before, massively calling into question the consistency of this “feat” (besides the other shit I’ll bring up later) also he wasn’t off guard his face was already fully healed by that point and he’s literally like “oh no” when he senses the attack coming.

  8. It is extremely inconsistent when Mach 3 Naoya is hyped up as a god tier speed wise and is so fast that Toji’s direct physical equal can’t keep up with him in combat without being able to see the literal future. Naobito is the 2nd fastest sorcerer and is capped at transonic lmao.

If you use electricity it gets nowhere even close to that lmao. Did I not send a whole ass explanation page on where the speed of electricity actually is and explained why it’s way slower then lightning? Reacting to electricity is in no way MHS lmao that’s using lightning

  1. Being unable to detect their CE does not explain the other conventional weapons like a knife or a bomb. The list of conventional weapons stretches so far that it’s impossible for that to be the only explanation for all them. Tanking also has nothing to do with speed.

  2. That article is in reference to Black Hole’s TRAVELLING throughout the universe not the exact specific speed they “pull at”. Also how does something 1/10th SOL pull light in to the point where it can’t escape? This is because Black Holes don’t pull at a “speed”, you don’t pull at something with a “speed” you pull at something with a FORCE, the gravitational FORCE of a black hole is so powerful that not even light can escape it, it has nothing to do with speed, there is no speed feat here whatsoever with Kenjaku.

  3. Human Naoya scales to a subsonic Pre-Awakened Maki bullet catching feat and Jozu reacting to sound waves is blatantly contradicted by 20F Meguna getting literally tagged and hit by one lmao. Yuji “reacting” to piercing blood has already been adressed as him not scaling to it LITERALLY by his own admission

  4. It’s an outlier because Subsonic Naoya is reacting to a supersonic+ attack and we get blatant confirmation that he doesn’t surpass subsonic speeds until his first fight with Maki when he’s alive. Also gets contradicted by other shit later on as expressed in the OG post

Lol Kamo later stated supersonic Curseya was too fast and Maki like barely even a few pages later got murder blitzed by this same supersonic Curseya on like 3 different occasions lmao

  1. Below transonic, not subsonic. He’s subsonic here but doesn’t get into transonic without stacking projection sorcery over and over

When did Choso dodge Piercing Blood??

  1. Yes this ties later into my point about how Toji’s speed is extremely impressive inverse yet his direct physical equal canonically needs the ability to see into the literal future to keep up with Mach 1 - 3 Curseya lmao

  2. Blocking it doesn’t mean she scales in reaction speed whatsoever she gets blitzed on 3 different occasions by this Mach 1 Curseya, it’s directly noted to be “too fast” by Kamo and we are consistently shown that he’s right, she states to she needs to “prepare” for Curseya rushing towards them at supersonic speeds, like it goes on and on the narrative makes it blatantly clear that supersonic Naoya is a big fucking problem for her lol

  3. What “feats”? Also no, blitzing a superhuman character does NOT require you to be faster than mach 3 whatsoever, Maki can be subsonic here and still get murder blitzed by Mach 3 Curseya just fine. The omniscient narrator states bro is Mach 3 here, there is literally no debate on this. I know you’re basing this off of blitz multipliers however those are far from being an accepted and established concept and are mostly completely subjective. Also Curse Naoya moves in mostly straight lines so combined with her ability to see the literal future and perfectly predict his movements before they even arrive + his naturally simple to follow movements that are only a threat because of their speed it makes sense why she can now keep up with him. Literally Daido and Rokujisji who are basically fodder compared to Maki are able to tag Curseya multiple times explicitly because of their ability to see the world in the same way Maki could and all 3 of them together force him into domain expansion lmao

  4. That “mechanic” is the ability to freeze the person by touching them if they don’t abide by the 1/24 FPS rule. Everything else about Projection Sorcery is about speed. Also those “bullet timers” cap at subsonic and naobito and naoya have blitzed no one who genuinely scale to any supersonic attacks lol Shibuya Yuji has already been adressed and Choso gets brutally debunked by him blatantly getting blitzed by an OBJECTIVELY subsonic Naoya

  5. The baseline speed for Piercing Blood is Mach 1 and it can be improved based on your skill with convergence and the amount of CE you pour into it. Without the CE Reinforcement, it is heavily implied to not exceed the speed of sound. Trying to assume how fast Piercing Blood is just using “exceed the speed of sound” is incredibly stupid because it’s implied to need amps to even surpass the speed of sound to begin with and trying to put a hard number on it is a completely baseless assumption based on little to no evidence. You can say it’s faster then Mach 1 and I’d agree with you, but the simple hard fact is that we just don’t know by how much, it could be mach 1.8, mach 4, mach 10, mach 100000 for all I fucking care, but it is simply an unknown variable and trying to guess this is impossible. Prove Uruame was “off guard”. Dude LITERALLY said it was fast lmao

Choso is quite literally forced to massively amp his eyesight to perceive a subsonic human naoya moving who wasn’t even using his top speed. It’s obvious you cannot use him dodging piericing blood even if he did cuz it gets blatantly contradicted

Kenjaku dodging this has been capped at like Mach 4.6 on vsbw iirc and he’s like top 3-4 inverse so it wouldn’t be absurd to have him faster then Curse Naoya or anything

  1. It’s the timeframe in between the domains that is the point, supposed “lightning timer” Yuta can barely notice a 0.01 timeframe difference in between domain startup, like the timeframe isn’t some unknown variable it’s given to us straight up. Yuta actually makes a guess instead of him for sure being able to notice and “lightning timer” Hakari can’t notice it and neither can “lightning timer” Kashimo either lmao
  2. Maki reacts to Nue’s electricty which as shown before scales absolutely nowhere even close speed wise to lightning and the problem with Gege’s statement is that he NEVER went back on mach 3 he was just talking about how crazy it was to from such a complex ability like Infinity to such a simple thing as Mach 3, it is NOT possible for you to prove he “went back” on the statement unless he literally does a redraw of the entire chapter entirely. Dude literally thought Maki catching a bullet which has been calced at subsonic was “too much” lmao

  3. Mai was using rubber bullets because one of the rules of the Goodwill Event is no killing so it makes sense for her to use a less potentially lethal option than she'd usually use any other time. It's not as if the power of her bullets should be limited to the real life equivalents when she reinforces them with Cursed Energy anyways. It makes sense why she can harm Maki and the calc makes perfect sense with the story unlike the other ones

  4. Dude has the six eyes which gives him insanely busted perception abilities, I think he can control his body enough to not accidentally kill anyone by rushing into them lmao. The him amping himself with blue is more of a hypothetical argument I’ll admit, but it’s still something to note as Gojo in this point of the series should be capable of refreshing his burnt out CT and he’d be trying to do it as quickly as possible this is showcased with how gassed he is at the end of it

  5. No, controlling your ce in a certain time frame is not movement based whatsoever, there is no speed to extrapolate from this besides potentially perception. Black Flashes cannot be used for speed scaling and a character blocking them means nothing
