PSA vs CGC for long term value
PSA carries name value for sure. The current resale value is higher. With that said, I believe we’re starting to see a trend towards more CGC. (Not majority, just more than in the past) the slabs are nicer and some have claimed the grading is more critical of newer cards. It seems as if PSA should be the go-to for cards 2016 or older, and CGC for anything newer in regards to long term value. For example: I recently read that it was concerning how many PSA 10s there are on the new 151 chase cards already relative to 9s and 8s. Almost as if PSA is more lax on newer cards.
What are your thoughts?
For reference, my current holdings are about 50/50 in slabs between PSA and CGC
