Two plumbers and I still have a cold bath.
Update: some of you mentioned an anti scalding feature on the valve. I turned the setting on the water heater back from the hottest position and was able to get more hot water in my tub! Who would have thought?
I’m about to lose my mind. The water in my bathroom is lukewarm (92 degrees but gets cooler as the tub fills). The kitchen faucet gets to 120-125. I’ve had two plumbers out. The first changed the valve in my 5 year old shower and billed me $350 and said “hope it helps.” The second set the timer on my recirculating pump (it wasn’t set before). He said it was set so I’d have hot water at night. Unfortunately I wanted a bath at 3 today. The house has a basement. It’s not that cold down there. Even if the hot water is circulating everywhere I can’t see how it loses 30 degrees. Plus this problem is new and gets worse after each plumber visits.
