Healing helix

Just over a year ago, my friend pierced my helix with a piercing gun off shein, Ik not ideal 😭 but I didn’t know till months after so I just decided to leave it and see if it will heal because I’ve seen people say they did theirs and it healed fine. I also saw people say that it took like ages to heal but it did eventually. But I’ve had mine since June last year and it’s still not healed and it hurts to sleep on. I can change the jewellery but it was pierced a gauge too small so most helix jewellery won’t fit and I need to use small lobe ones. So idk if I should just give up and take it out 😿 but my eyebrow piercing already rejected this year and idk if I’m ready to lose another 😔💔
