Pulse S core crushing fear - suggestions
Hi everyone,
I’m considering getting a new all-court paddle and could use some advice and concern about pulse s. For context, I come from a table tennis background, and my game is all about topspin and backspin — drives, rolls, dinking, and lobs. I rarely hit flat, non-spin shots. My topspin drives are very fast, and I rely on them heavily for mid-court and beyond.
Currently, I’m using the Mod 15, and while I love the power, I’m concerned about core crushing. To play it safe, I’m planning to sell it to someone with a slower-paced game who could benefit from the extra power.
I recently tried the APPs Pulse S and really liked it. The spin potential and control felt great, but I’ve been hearing a lot about the break-in period with this paddle. This has me worried that it might also be prone to core crushing over time.
Do you think I should be worried about core crushing with the APPs Pulse S? Are there other paddles you’d recommend I try that offer a similar blend of power, spin, control, and durability?
Thanks in advance for your input!
