Communal Cremation

Has anyone here chosen communal cremation for their pet? It seems every post I see is individual, and people are able to take the ashes home.

My wife couldn’t bear having the ashes at home, and I left it up to her she adopted our cat before we met. I just loved our cat so much, and I’m just sick thinking about how he will or has been cremated with other animals. I’m imagining a very impersonal process.

For the past 10 years, I changed his litter, fed him, and played with him. He snuggled with me at night and sat next to me during my remote work. We were buddies, and I feel like I’ve failed him. My wife has gotten rid of almost all his stuff, and it’s crushing my soul.
