Bad cramps

Hi this is my first time posting on this subreddit. I'm a 22f. I'm on the first day of my period. My cramps hurt really bad. I took some ibuprofen and am using a heating pad. Does anyone sometimes feel the cramping pain in your legs or feet? I usually feel pain spreading to those areas of my body on the first or second day of my period. I'm wondering if this is normal.
