So how come it's so easy to get hacked?

I've seen alot of posts about this subject, people getting hacked etc and it just happened to me too. Didn't lose too much as I was poor already, but it just made me wonder how come it's so easy, and can we expect GGG to do something about it? It's whatever now since it's EA but when the game fully releases, we should expect them to have upped the security right?
