Rejected Twice For re-used content
Hey guys, I really need help getting my channel monetized after getting rejected twice and my appeal also getting rejected.
I started taking yt seriously in June when I uploaded a good quality video, in short it reached over 100k views and got me all the watch time hours I needed. For context my channel is called “dnadz” on YouTube, I do tv show and movie discussions surrounding theory’s and such. With this I also started posting tv show clip shorts, but I edited them so they wouldn’t be considered copyright (changing the narrative, Color correction , enhancing image, etc). This helped me get to 1k subs. I then applied in July and got rejected. I assumed it was because of the shorts I posted since fair use on the types of shorts I posted are kind of tricky and it’s hard to get monetized with that. So I decided to completely re vamp my channel, I deleted any video that could look sketchy for monetization and made it so my channel was purely my long form videos which were clearly original.
I re applied about a month later, just to be rejected again. I created an appeal video which I will link at the bottom so maybe I can get some feedback. In short I got help from someone who does similar content and they gave me a well written script for my appeal, I talked about my editing process and how my long form videos fall under fair use( which they obviously do). 12 hours later I get mail that they rejected my appeal because I didn’t talk about my channel as a whole. This I really don’t understand because the video I use as example, is litteraly the same format for all my videos, on top of all the other things I mention, I don’t understand how they expect me to talk about each individual video on my channel and how they are fair use under 5 minutes???
In conclusion, this has really upset me because I have worked so hard on the videos I’ve made, so much time editing and writing scripts, just for YouTube to stop me from this being my job. I have the opportunity to re apply and appeal again in 3 months, and this time I want to make 100% sure I can get monetized.
Thanks for reading all of this if you made it this far!
