Advice about starting a second channel

I've realized that most people on my current channel are only here for 1 game. Youtube seems to push any new videos to my current cohort first and since they're only interested in the 1 game I make most content on, these new videos about other games bomb hard. I'd like to start a second channel to get subscribers who are more open to other games.
Any advice on how to to do this well? Do I ask some of my current subscribers to subscribe to the new channel if they are open to other games? Or do I skip the second channel and just keep posting these videos on my main?
