Is there a safe way to do painting with your baby/toddler?
I have a 13-month-old and recently tried painting with her, but she got it on her hands and tried to lick it off. I used water-based paints from a kids’ set but stopped because I was worried about her eating it.
Are there any safe, non-toxic paints available that wouldn’t be harmful if she did? I know that babies and toddlers often do painting activities at nursery, so it must be manageable somehow. Many of my friends have done finger painting with their little ones, but I’m a bit too nervous to try it myself. Is this normal? Do you have any advice to make painting safer and easier? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
