How long to help suppress appetite with metformin

Hi everyone I have really high insulin resistance with blood sugar issues that make me feel sick and almost faint between meals + crazy hunger, I've been prescribed metformin and I feel it's making me hungrier ... I hope it's just temporary.. how long did it take for you to make a difference on the hunger ? Thank you
