Seeking Advice for PCOS Weight Loss – Feeling Stuck and Overwhelmed
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because I’m feeling lost and overwhelmed in my journey with PCOS. I’ve been trying to lose weight for the past 5–6 years and have tried so many different things, but nothing has worked long-term. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
• Programs & diets: Jenny Craig, Hello Fresh, Weight Watchers, dietitian plans, keto, intermittent fasting, and high-protein meals.
• Medications & treatments: Metformin, Saxenda, and Ozempic. I lost 10kg on Ozempic, but when there was a shortage, I regained 30kg in just a month. Going back on it again then didn’t do anything the second time.
•Exercise: I go to the gym regularly, doing cardio and weights. I’ve tried Zumba, HIIT workouts, and I’m signing up for Pilates soon.
Recently, I started ADHD medication, which has helped with cravings and even brought my period back. However, I’m now 25 years old, weigh 165kg, and feel like I’m running out of options.
I’m genuinely concerned for my health and want to lose weight so badly, but I feel stuck. I don’t know what foods are actually helping anymore, and it’s exhausting trying so many things without seeing sustainable results.
If anyone has gone through something similar or has advice for dealing with PCOS, I’d love to hear from you. Any tips on diet, exercise, or mindset that have worked for you would mean so much to me.
Thank you in advance.
