What's your opinion about Blast ? (Manga version)

I think his character design is pretty solid and his set of power around portal/gravity is great choice. It give him a "cosmic level" vibe that differentiate him from the others heroes with more basic power

His introduction was a masterclass. It confirmed his relation with God and immediatly affirmed his status of strongest among S-class thanks to his interaction with Flash.

I don't particularly minded about his fight with Garou, it was cool but maybe not necessary.

About this Ninja arc I'm perplexed. Him being linked to Void is not a bad thing but I think making him a recurring character that soon sound like a problem. Particularly for the Neo arc. It wouldn't really work if he was involved. But what would justify him not being present ?

Once thing I don't like about him however, is his bland personnality and his lack of aura. He's basically is a "nice guy" but that's all. There is no quirk or original caracteritic about him except his powers and statut which is quite weird when compared to virtually every other class S. Some would say that him being "normal" is his quirk but I found it hard to believe considering the life he has chosen. As for his lack of "presence", I don't know if it's only me but I found it underwhelwing (with the exception of his introduction). He only does some exposition but otherwise he is just a strong guy. I thought that such a mythical character that was teased since the Alien arc would be a bit more awe-inspiring. Maybe the redraws will improve on that ?

I also found it weird how he just doesn't particulary care about Saitama despite having already several clues of his abnormal power. If Carnage Kabuto, Boros and Orochi where able to gauge him from a simple glance, it's weird that Blast can't do the same. It wasn't like he wasn't in need of strong people.
