Is this a good start for reading GOTG?

after watching the trilogy for the first time before this new years i really enjoyed the guardians movies and am wanting to know if this omnibus is a good place for me to start reading GOTG comics. Also am wanting to know if this omnibus is like James Gunns Guardians since i really enjoyed his trilogy.
