Help me decide: first Omega watch

Hi all - looking to buy my first Omega watch. I currently don't own any watch above $500-600, so this will be a considerable step up. Intended usage will be for dressy nights/dinners out (jeans, collared shirt) as well as more formal attire (suit and tie, maybe even tux although not sure if I'll find something that checks every box).

I'll be purchasing in the US (NYC area). Budget is sub $10k. Leaning towards buying new since it's my first one, although I would be willing to hear arguments into buying a refurb/secondhand.
