How do you relate to noah’s lyrics?

As someone who isn’t from new england, (i literally live in Aus) how do you manage to relate to noah’s lyrics about your hometown and why is it significant to you? It’s crazy how he can make music that relates to me and how i grew up or what i dealt with, without even living in the US. Mine would be in the view between villages (extended version). I relate to the whole song about my hometown and how i feel when i go back.
