Idea for a new smash roster

For the record, I believe "Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe/More DLC Fighter" is the right move. So, I figured, why not create a "what if scenario" that combines what I could see happening with what I would like?

Reason for Bowser Jr.'s cut: I could see him wanting to spice up the Mario franchise a bit, and if you ask me, JR is the obvious one to cut. But I could see the Mario rep staying the same.

Regarding no new DK - the only one I feel could be added is Dixie, but if she did, I see her chance being higher with a reworked Diddy + Dixie combo.

Regarding Pokemon - Pichu was removed due to being a clone of Pikachu, Incineroar is not as iconic as the remaining, and Jigglypuff has lost "status" within the Pokemon franchise and has not been a key focus in the original anime forever. Meowscar is due to the new main character's first Pokemon being a Sprigatito. Gengar is a wildcard that I would like to see what Sakurai could do with.

Regarding Zelda, you could switch Toon Link to Young Link for this reason. I want to know the first one that came to mind, but I do believe you should have someone who plays as "modern Link" and one as classic Link. Zelda should be a no-brainer; TOTK Ganondorf is because we all believe he should be declined here, and his TOTK version is the way to go then. Considering the popular villain request, Skull Kid is an obvious choice, and Vaaiti is an oddball request, which I could see Sakurai add.

Regarding Metroid, this franchise is a perfect opportunity to add more villains. Granted, this would remove Dark Samus, but she should have been a skin in the first place.

Regarding Star Fox, Fox, Falco, and Wolf are too alike to be individual fighters. If you want to include Falco, put him as a Fox skin. Keep Wolf due to being a villain, and Crystal, with her using the staff (I could not find a good picture of her holding it when I did this "roster.")

Regarding Fire Emblem. I love the franchise to bits. It's my favorite video game franchise, But just because it lacks stages, items, and assist theories does not mean we need to have four characters who play nearly identically to each other. With these, it would be

Martin - First Hero
Lyn - Favorite character within the fanbase
Black Knight - Arguably the Sepiroth of the franchise.
Robin - cover magic
Byleth - cover weapon triangle.

Sure, at least two of them would be vanilla sword users (that being if you give Lyn a bow or not), but at least there is some sense for them to be there, then having almost half of them be from the same game.

The situation with Kid Icarus is similar to that of Star Fox, although Phosphora is the only one who could bring something "new" to the rest of the cast, which is why she is over Dark Pit.

Regarding Kirby, Sakurai's baby deserves another rep, and BWD is the obvious choice.

Xenoblade is a franchise that is only becoming bigger with the installment, and Noah&Mio is the obvious choice to represent the third. Before you say something like, "It should just be Noah," if you have played the game, you would know why it would not make sense for the game, and we know Sakurai takes details like that into account.

For Splatoon... I don't know enough about that franchise to be able to put another potential rep there. The same goes for F-zero and Earthbound, and I would cut Lucas because "clone."

For Animal Crossing... It's one of the most popular franchises Nintendo has, so at least one more rep should be introduced. If so, Toom Nook is the obvious one in my book.

Super Smash Brosis is a franchise that celebrates video games, and R.O.B., Mr. Game & Watch, and Duck Hunt are some of Nintendo's most essential products in their historical aspect.

Regarding Ayumi, Sakurai wanted her in Melee but skipped her due to her lack of presence in the West. Now he has one, though. Akira from Astral Chain, well, there are rumors of Nintendo wanting a sequel, and it's my personal most wanted, so xD.

Ok, here comes the elephant in the room, which is third parties.

Yes, I know licensing is expensive. Yes, I know what Sakurai has said about "Ultimate can probably not be topped. But at the same time, I can't see Nintendo being stupid enough to remove the third parties altogether, which is why I have them left. Richter and Ken are not there because I could see them put them as skins to fix some newcomers. Adding someone like Will is due to Metaphor being Atlus' biggest game next to Persona 5, combined with Nintendo's relationship with them. Pheonix Wright, because of a solid relationship with Capcom and Ace Attorney's history with Nintendo. Before you say "no moveset," look at Marvel vs. Capcom. The Square rep, Cloud, Sephiroth, and Hero are the obvious ones to go if you want the icons from Square. If you want to add a Microsoft rep, Master Chief is the way to go. If you put a Bellmont as a skin, Alucard is easily the one to add, and the rest is self-explanatory.

What do you think? Am I too naive with the third party? Do you disagree with the first party? I would love to hear your thoughts.
