8nm vs 7nm

I know that switch 2 is predicted to have Samsung 8nm. But wouldn’t it be a smarter business decision for them to go with 7nm?

It would payoff in the long run being way more future proof while also be more power efficient. So they would be able to put in a smaller battery to compensate for the higher cost while at the same time make the console lighter which should save on shipping fees and potentially also storage fees.

So as I asked in the beginning. Wouldn’t 7nm be the wisest choice?

The console would have a longer life cycle and cut costs in other areas that compensates for the priced difference between 8nm and 7nm.
