Quitting bad habits which were introduced by the wrong crowd
I (21M) picked up some bad habits like smoking weed and nicotine a few years back, as a result of hanging around some people I probably shouldn't have.
I don't like that even though I've exiled them from my life, they are still affecting me because I choose to continue the bad habits which I picked up from them. They weren't very nice or respectful to me.
I feel as though I am still giving them some kind of power by continuing this smoking habit, I am damaging my lungs and it feels like they still have some kind of effect on my life even though I got rid of them.
Would Nietzsche tell me to stop being a pussy and quit cold turkey?
The main reason is because I had no original desire to do these things, I used to be always open to new experiences so I took it when they offered me weed or nicotine. Now I'm kinda addicted to both, and it's been like 2 years.
Is this slave mentality? Should I boss up and go Master Morality on these habits and once and for all close the hatch on my past?
Edit: Thank you guys for all the great recommendations, I created a doc to list them so I can consume them one by one
