Gen 2 thermostat issue. Halp

I have a gen 2 nest thermostat. I've been having an issue to where it goes offline randomly when trying to change the temp. If I happen to walk by the thermostat and make it light up, it comes back online and kicks on. Does anyone have any ideas of what causes this? I've tried everything in the book. Voltage is good. I've even gotten new internet since the issue first began but it's still having the same problem. I've tried 5g and 2.4g networks. Factory reset, everything! Kind of at a brick wall with this one but it's mad annoying lol
