NPD and Secrets

Did anyone notice that the narcissist was super secretive about literally everything including silly things like where they go and what they do? It was almost like the narc was living a secret life and purposely keeping me in the dark even about silly things they didn't need to keep secrets about. I noticed this especially during devaluation.

Why do they do this?
